Digital Subscriptions

Digital Subscriptions and Membership Prices

Digital subscriptions give you access to the premium features of series, movie, video and music platforms for a set period. Perks such as ad-free viewing, offline downloads, higher picture quality and unlimited music usually open up only on paid plans. This category covers subscriptions to platforms such as Netflix, YouTube, Spotify and Amazon Prime Video.

When you choose a digital subscription, it helps to know how it reaches you as well as which platform it is for. Two memberships of the same kind can differ in delivery type, term and account conditions. This page explains how digital subscriptions work in general, what to check before you choose and what affects the price.

Types of Digital Subscriptions

Digital subscription models fall into two main types. In the first, you receive a code and redeem it on your own account. Your playlists, the channels you follow, your recommendations and your history all stay where they are. Promotional codes for music and video platforms usually work this way.

In the second model, you use a ready-made account delivered as an email and password. You get access to the platform without starting a subscription of your own and pick a profile for yourself. Because ready-made accounts may be shared with other users, simultaneous streams are shared across profiles and no set number of screens is reserved for you.

What to Look for When Choosing a Digital Subscription

Codes for your own account usually come with promotional conditions. Typical examples are an account opened in a certain region, no earlier use of the platform's premium plan and a payment method check during activation. Checking the product page to see whether your account meets these conditions is the first step to a smooth activation.

Renewal is easy to overlook. When a promotion you started on your own account ends, the membership may renew at the platform's regular price on the payment method you added. If you do not want to continue, simply cancel in the membership settings before the term ends. On ready-made accounts, leave the password and account settings alone and use only your own profile.

Your Own Account or a Ready-Made One?

The right model depends on how you use the platform. If the playlists you have built over the years, the channels you follow and recommendations tuned to your taste matter to you, a code for your own account is the better choice. If you want to try a platform for a short while or finish a particular series, a ready-made account gives you access without a subscription of your own.

Think about your devices too. To watch in high picture quality, your screen, streaming device and internet connection all need to support it. On music platforms, individual plans usually play on one device at a time.

Buy Affordable Digital Subscriptions

Digital subscription prices depend mainly on the platform, the plan level, the term and the delivery model. Ready-made accounts and codes for your own account are priced differently, and longer promotions offer different value from short-term access. To compare platforms by the way you watch and listen, browse the video and music category. Every subscription is a genuine membership delivered digitally.
