Imagify Pro

Imagify Pro is an image optimization plugin that compresses the images on your WordPress site and converts them to modern formats. It comes from the team behind WP Rocket. Images are processed on Imagify's servers and the smaller versions are sent back to your site, so your own server carries no extra load. It suits photo-heavy blogs, portfolio sites and WooCommerce stores with lots of product images.

Compression and formats

• Smart compression finds the balance between quality and file size for each image. You can choose lossless compression instead.
• Images get a WebP copy, an AVIF copy or both. Browsers that do not support these formats get the optimized JPG or PNG.

Uploads and bulk processing

• New images are optimized automatically on upload.
• Large images are resized proportionally to a maximum width of up to 2560 pixels.
• Bulk optimization works through your existing media library in the background, and you can stop it at any time.

Backup and compatibility

• Originals are moved to a backup folder, so you can restore them in one click or re-optimize at a different level.

How it differs from the free plan

Imagify's free plan is capped at 20 MB a month, roughly 200 images. The Pro license is for sites that need to optimize beyond that monthly quota. Together with WP Rocket for caching and lazy loading and Perfmatters for trimming scripts, it makes a solid speed setup.

License and installation

The 1 year · 1 site option covers one WordPress site for one year, counted from the moment the license is installed and activated on your site. You do not receive a license key. Imagify Pro is installed and activated directly on your site instead, so checkout asks for the site address and an administrator's username and password. Setup for this prepared delivery usually takes 5 to 60 minutes, and you are notified by email when it is complete.

Make sure the login works before you submit the details. Use a temporary administrator for the setup, then delete it or change its password.

1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Users → Add New, create a temporary account with the Administrator role and log in with it once to confirm the details.
2. At checkout, enter the site address and the temporary account's username and password.
3. Once the setup email arrives, choose the compression level and WebP or AVIF output under Settings → Imagify, then process existing images from Media → Bulk Optimization.
4. Delete the temporary administrator or change its password.
